An opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic individual with excellent attention to detail and exceptional media and publicity experience across the design, interiors and lifestyle sector has become available at one of Australia’s growing agencies, The Project Agency.


We are seeking an individual with proven experience to fulfil the role of Publicity and Communications Account Manager who has a desire and hunger to succeed for our clients – some of Australia’s leading design, interiors and retail brands.


As a strategic brand guardian for our clients, you will develop and implement a creative and strategic publicity and communication plan in line with the brand tone, aesthetic and objectives of each brand to nurture grow and propel the client in the positive direction they desire.

 

 

Working closely with the Director across various brands, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Drive PR focus in alignment with the client’s company sales and marketing plans.
2. Ensure compelling and captivating brand and product media releases are written for all targeted media.
3. Obtaining exposure for the brands by working with appropriate media to ensure positive impact and increase brand awareness via key editorial and product placement.
4. Identifying and creatively conceptualise story opportunities and communicating these effectively with appropriate to media to yield maximise exposure for our clients.
5. Seek out, coordinate and manage outreach opportunities for collaborative (sponsorships and other) activities to further enhance brand building objectives.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of online strategies including managing digital assets across our client stable and for the agency.
7. Manage media enquiries and relations to achieve maximum loyalty and growth for both the client/s and the agency.
8. Maintain accurate client records and reports, files and resources
9. Assisting the Director across agency functions: Marketing/PR/Events/Branding
10. Cut through the PR clutter and deliver stand-out quality content, PR service and above all results for our clients.


To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes;

• At least three years experience in a similar role with a proven portfolio of publicity achievements
• Outstanding media networks/connections within the design, interiors and lifestyle arena
• Excellent communication, organisational and management skills to build and nurture strong relationships with a diverse group of people at all levels.
• Possess highly developed interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills - must be able to write well and creatively
• The ability to show initiative and grow opportunities with a flexible attitude
• Work as a team and also autonomously, take direction well and contribute when necessary
• Work efficiently, multitask without compromising quality and accuracy
• ability to use initiative to solve problems and create solutions

The successful applicant must be highly experienced in the following
• High level skills in Microsoft Office packages
• Proficient in both Mac and PC use
• Electronic direct marketing and CMS experience an advantage – Mailchimp or other platform
• Creative suite experience – Indesign, Photoshop etc an advantage
• Proficient in social media communication across at least Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
